Sandra Elaine Fox

MOSES LAKE – On Tuesday November 29, 2022, Sandra Elaine Fox, beloved wife of Stephen Fox and mother to Karla Kay Fox, passed away at the age 57.

Sandra was born in Carson, Cali. but made Moses Lake, Wash. her home for the majority of her life. Sandra graduated from Moses Lake High school in 1984, was married to Stephen in 1985, and had her daughter Karla Kay in 1986.

Sandra’s work experience included different hospitality positions with local hotel chains, a good many years at McCain’s Foods, with her last position there being a lab tech. For the past twelve years she worked for the county through DCL as a caregiver.

Sandra will always be remembered for opening her home to many kids over the years and being a light for them during those trying adolescent years. She was a woman who made friends everywhere she went and loved those closest to her fiercely. Some of her proudest accomplishments included her garden, receiving first place and people’s choice award at the Grant County Fair for her crafted castle, her many crafting projects, her marriage of 37 years, and her daughter whom she took much pride in for graduating college as a Vet Tech Nurse.

She was preceded in death by Mary Maxine Houston-Rhodes her mother and Samuel Robert Houston her grandfather, Gordon and Hazel Whitener (Adoptive parents).

She is survived by her husband Stephen Nelson Fox, daughter Karla Kay Fox (Robert Ruiz), Sisters Eva Steffler (Rory Steffler) and Rita Showers, nieces Manda Steffler and Christina Estes (Rob Estes). Also, her adoptive sisters Karla Storwick, Shirley Berryhill and dear friend Marilyn Burress.

A memorial will be held in her honor at Journey Moses Lake Church, 303 E. Nelson Road, Moses Lake, WA 98837 at 2 p.m. on Dec. 17.
