WSU’s Stribling, Ollie enter transfer portal
PULLMAN – Washington State receivers De’Zhaun Stribling and Donovan Ollie announced they would enter the NCAA’s transfer portal Monday on social media.
Stribling started all 12 regular season games for the Cougars this season, and Ollie started every game but WSU’s road trip to Arizona, according to the school.
Stribling led the team in receptions (51), receiving yards (602) and receiving touchdowns (5) this season. Through two seasons at WSU, the sophomore receiver caught 95 passes for 1,073 yards and 10 touchdowns.
“To the coaches and staff, I would like to send my appreciation and gratitude for the opportunity to be a Coug,” Stribling said in a Twitter post on Monday. “As I look to the future and the next steps ahead, I have decided to explore opportunities by entering the transfer portal.”
Ollie, a redshirt sophomore, caught 43 passes for 491 yards and three touchdowns with the Cougs this season. In three seasons with WSU, the Wylie, Texas native hauled in 70 passes for 807 yards and four touchdowns.
“Thank you Coug Nation for embracing me since I first stepped foot on campus and always showing love,” Ollie said in a Twitter post on Monday. “I have decided to enter the transfer portal and continue my education and athletic career with 2 remaining years of eligibility.”
Joining Ollie and Stribling in transferring on Dec. 5 were safety Adrian Sheperd, offensive lineman Eric Wilder, edge rusher Gabriel Lopez, edge rusher Justin Lohrenz and linebacker Gavin Barthiel.
