Sandra Dodge

Sandra D. Dodge passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on Nov. 29, 2022, at the age of 75. Sandi was born in Tekoa, Washington on March 31, 1947, to R.A. (Bud) Hampton and Naomi Hampton. The family moved to Othello, Washington in 1959 and became very active in the community.

Sandi married her soulmate in 1971 and together they embarked on many amazing adventures in life that lasted 51 wonderful years.

Sandi was faithful and devoted to her family. She always knew how to make every occasion so special and memorable. She never met a stranger and would help anyone. She was the sweetest, most caring lady you could ever have the pleasure of meeting. She always had a smile on her face and love in her heart.

Sandi taught kindergarten at Lutacaga Elementary for 30 years till she retired. She made a positive impact on her students. Her students all loved and respected her and remember her to this day.

She will always be remembered for being creative and social and having a feisty nature. She was an avid volunteer for so many organizations including Othello Fair, Othello Beautification, Othello Senior Center and so many more.

Sandi is survived by husband Roy Dodge, daughter Pam Stelter, granddaughter Kylie (Freddy) Gonzalez, grandson Jacob Stelter and her two great-granddaughters Marzaya and Zendaya Gonzalez, as well as three sisters and a brother and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins,

Sandi is preceded in death by her parents and siblings Lyle, Robin and Robert (Bob).

Sandi's celebration of life will be held on Dec. 11, 2022, at 1 p.m. at the Othello Senior Center,

755 N. Seventh Ave., Othello, Washington.

Sandi would like any donations to go to the Othello Senior Center.
