Maryellen Kay Woody

Maryellen Kay Woody, 62, loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, lost her battle against pancreatic cancer on Aug. 18, 2022, at home with her family by her side.
Mary was born to Herbert and Mona Phelps on May 22, 1960. She attended Columbia Basin College.
Mary loved family more than anything. She loved camping, family get-togethers and her home in Yakima and writing. She wrote three books in her lifetime.
Mary is survived by husband Brian Woody; they have been together since 1984. She is also survived by her sons Brad Labes, Chris Labes and Brandon Woody; brothers Micheal Phelps (Karen) and Jeff Phelps (Melody) and grandkids, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Herbert Phelps, mother Mona Phelps, brother Fred Phelps and daughter Michelle Woody.
Service will be held on Sept. 10, 2022, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 471 Nat Washington Way, Ephrata, Washington. Pastor Richard Loppnow is conducting the service. She will be set to rest next to her daughter at Terrace Heights Cemetery.
