John had a deep passion and a knack for the outdoors; he loved hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends at his property in Stevens County. He loved hosting the family reunions, the numerous opening day hunting and fishing crowds, and enjoyed the peace and quiet that he was able to experience at his home up in Stevens County. He never missed an opportunity to spend time with his kids and grandchildren, taking them on hunting and fishing expeditions that are still traditions in his family today.
