Basin baseball weekend roundup

COLUMBIA BASIN — On April 21, the Ephrata High School Tigers traveled to Chelan where they took the game 10-2. Ephrata took an early lead of 3-0, before Chelan brought in two runs in the fourth inning. Both teams were scoreless in the fifth inning but the Tigers made quick work in the sixth inning to bring in two runs and hold Chelan from home plate. The seventh and final inning the Tigers brought in five runners and again held Chelan scoreless. The final score was 10-2, bringing the Tigers overall record to 15 - 3.

Seniors Ethan Black, Brock Hussey and Ethan Gustafson tied for bringing in the most RBIs that game with two RBIs each.

The Tigers also took on Prosser High School on April 23 in a doubleheader where they took both games 9-0 and 2-0.

Their final matchup of the regular season is a doubleheader against Ellensburg High School on April 30 at Ephrata.
