| April 20, 2022 1:00 AM

November 17, 1940 — March 28, 2022

Dorothy Stacy, 81, surrounded by family, went to be with her Lord and Savior March 28, 2022. She was born in Hanford, Calif., to Ollie and Iva Norred in 1940. In her 20s, she married Royce Stacy and moved to Washington state to build a life in the Quincy/George area. In her lifetime, she was most proud of being a wife, mother, paraeducator, volunteer 4-H leader (teaching many to ride and show horses) and becoming a foster parent. She retired from the Quincy School District in 2000, but she continued to work as a substitute because of her love of the kids. She lived her life as a servant to her community.

Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was fondly known as “Gram” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren alike. She is survived by her sister Carol Carver; daughters Loretta Stover and Sheila Vollman (husband Chad); grandchildren Shana (Stover) Shields (husband Brice), Brady Stover (wife Janae) and Ty Stacy-Stump; and great-grandchildren Kloie, Ayva, Owen and Ollie (Shields). Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband Royce and her brother Leonard Norred.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2022, at Scharbach’s Columbia Funeral Chapel, 300 G St. SE, Quincy, Wash. There will be a reception following the service at the Quincy Moose Lodge, 109 E St. SE, Quincy, Wash.
