WENATCHEE — Residents of the North Central Washington Libraries District now can check out passes to the Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center and Ohme Gardens in Wenatchee through the NWCL system.

Each checkout is good for two weeks, according to a NCWL press release. The pass provides access to Ohme Gardens or the museum for two adults and any children younger than 18 living in the household.

The museum is located at 127 South Mission St. in Wenatchee in the old U.S. Post Office building and covers the history of North Central Washington from the Ice Age and the wooly mammoths that roamed the area to the apple industry that still plays a crucial role in the region’s economy.

Ohme Gardens at 3327 Ohme Road in Wenatchee is a nine-acre alpine area with waterfalls and ponds, flowers, meadows and viewing spots that look out over the Wenatchee area.

The passes can be checked out at any of the local library branches throughout Grant, Douglas, Okanogan, Chelan and Ferry counties, or at the NCWL Libraries website, www.ncwlibraries.org.
