Basin communities receive grants

SPOKANE — Organizations in Grant, Adams and Lincoln counties will receive over $40,000 in grants through the Innovia Foundation, according to a press release from the foundation.

The town of Harrington will receive $6,200 for a town square beautification project, according to the release, and the Ralston Grange in Adams County will get $15,000 for a new well.

In addition, the foundation awarded:

• $6,000 to the Almira School District for after-school programs

• $4,500 to Columbia Basin Allied Arts for in-school performing arts outreach

• $8,100 to Rearden Community Hall Association for an energy improvement plan

• $5,000 to Ritzville Downtown Development for capacity building/executive director.
