Daniel 'Danny' Jay Spies

October 11, 1961 – March 23, 2022

Daniel “Danny” Jay Spies passed away March 23, 2022.

Danny was born Oct. 11, 1961, in Moses Lake, Washington, to Robert Spies and Margaret Wynn Spies. He attended Moses Lake High School and later started Spies Brothers Painting with his brother Jimmy Spies. He took pride in producing high-quality work, a trait he inherited from his mother. Danny and his wife Deena Spies were married for 33 years. He always looked forward to spring to plant his garden, he looked forward to summer to go camping and fishing at Twin Lakes, Washington and he looked forward to fall to root for the Green Bay Packers. Danny enjoyed fast cars, hearty food and sweet desserts.

Danny is survived by his wife Deena Spies; children Candace LaRossa (Logan), and Jay Spies and stepson Chris Meling (Shiane); mother Margaret Spies Sala and her significant other Merle Armstrong; brother Jimmy Spies and his significant other Janis Morton; and stepbrother Lonnie Sala and wife Cathy Sala.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert Spies, paternal grandparents Daniel and Pauline Spies and maternal grandparents James “Jay” and Daisy Wynn.
