Cougs compete in Silverado Showdown

NAPA, Calif. — Washington State Cougar senior Darcy Habgood and junior Jiye Ham each finished inside the top-35 on the player leaderboard to highlight the week at the 2022 Silverado Showdown for the Washington State women's golf team.

The two WSU golfers tied for 31st at the end of 54 holes of play at the Silverado Resort and Spa in Napa, California. Habgood and Ham ended the tournament carding 8-over; 224. They duo capped off the Silverado Showdown by shooting 3-over par; 75 in Wednesday's third round.

Washington State concluded the three-day tournament in 16th place on the team leaderboard. WSU ended the 2022 Silverado Showdown by posting a three-round team score of 919 (+55). The Cougars wrapped up their stay in Napa by shooting 308 (+20) in the third round.

San Jose State claimed the team title at the 2022 Silverado Showdown by carding 870 (+6) to defeat Oregon by two strokes. Arizona State's Alessandra Fanali won the tournament by three strokes over TCU's Caitlyn Macnab with a score of 209 (-7).

Washington State will now gear towards the 2022 Pac-12 Women's Golf Championship. This year's Pac-12 Championship will take place April 18-20 at the Eugene Country Club in Eugene, Oregon.
