EPHRATA – The Grant County Board of Commissioners is looking for two county residents to serve on the county’s planning commission, according to a press release from the commissioners Friday.

The Planning Commission makes recommendations to the board of commissioners for changes and updates in the comprehensive plan and the zoning code, as well as rezoning actions, the release said.

Members of the commission serve as unpaid volunteers, but mileage is reimbursed. Meetings are held at 7 p.m. on the first Wednesday of every month at the courthouse in Ephrata. However, the release said, it is not uncommon to have multiple meetings in a month.

An application must be completed and can be found on the Current Vacancies on Boards, Commissions, & Districts webpage at https://bit.ly/GRANTCOMMS. Applications will be accepted until the positions are filled. More information may be obtained by calling Development Services Interim Director Tyler Lawrence at 509-754-2011, ext. 2536.
