A Moses Lake man and woman, as well as an Othello woman, were injured Thursday morning in a four-vehicle collision in Adams County, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The four vehicles were southbound on state Route 17, just north of Hatton Road, when three of the vehicles stopped for traffic in the construction area.

However, Gavin R. Chistopherson, 21, of Naches, driving a white 2015 Chevrolet Silverdo, struck the rear of a white 2016 Honda CR-V, driven by Valentina Kozyarsky, 61, of Moses Lake. The Honda then rotated and struck a white 2011 Nissan Maxima, driven by Saidee R. Padilla, 24, of Othello. The Chevrolet then struck the rear of a dark gray 2005 Chrysler Town & Country, driven by Ilda Mendoza, 44, of Othello.

Christopherson was uninjured, but may be cited for second-degree negligent driving. He was wearing a seat belt, but his vehicle had reportable damage and was towed.

Kozyarsky and her passenger, Vyacheslav Kozyarsky, 64, of Moses Lake, were injured and taken to Othello Community Hospital. They wore seat belts and their Honda had reportable damage and was towed.

Padilla drove her Nissan to Othello Community Hospital for her injuries. She wore her seat belt.

Mendoza and her passenger, Jose M. Gomez, 15, of Othello, were not injured and wore their seat belts. Their vehicle had reportable damage, but was driven from the scene.

The cause of the collision was driver inattention, according to the WSP.
