A 67-year-old Moses Lake man died Aug. 12 from injuries sustained in a June 16 motorcycle collision in Kittitas County, the Washington State Patrol announced Thursday.

Gerald J. Brooks was riding his blue 2016 Harley Davidson Ultra Limited just before 8:28 p.m. June 16, westbound on Interstate 90, west of Vantage, when the motorcycle veered off the road toward the center dirt embankment and Brooks was ejected. The motorcycle came to rest in lane three of three.

Brooks was flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, and later taken to Rainier Rehabilitation Center in Puyallup, where he died at 5:12 a.m. Aug. 12, the WSP stated.

He was wearing a helmet and the motorcycle had reportable damage. The cause of the collision was “wheels off the roadway,” according to the WSP.
