Veterans Stand Down to offer plethora of resources

MOSES LAKE — Military veterans can get information about job opportunities and services, and shelterless veterans can get clothing and cold weather gear at the Veterans Stand Down and Resource Fair, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Grant County Fairgrounds, 3953 NE Airway Drive.

Vendors will be in the 4-H, commercial and agriculture buildings, according to a press release from Grant County Veterans Services coordinator Jerry Gingrich. Representatives from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and other veterans organizations will be at the event, along with potential employers.

Free clothing and equipment will be distributed to shelterless veterans, and vets can get free flu and COVID-19 vaccinations. A free lunch also will be served.
