ROYAL CITY — Grant County Sheriff’s Office deputies are seeking help to find a set of fire turnout gear stolen from a Royal Slope Fire Rescue & EMS volunteer either Thursday or Friday, as well as the alleged thieves.

The thieves broke into the volunteer’s vehicle sometime during the night, according to a GCSO social media post.

The fire gear was stored in a red Cordura bag, which included a yellow helmet, a jacket with “Royal Slope” written on the back, pants and boots. The jacket and pants have stripes of reflective material.

Kyle Foreman, GCSO public information officer, wrote in the social media post the replacement cost would be about $5,000.

Anyone with information on the thieves or the stolen gear, can call dispatch at 509-762-1160.
