MolinaCares donates to The Rural Collaborative
OLYMPIA — The MolinaCares Accord, in collaboration with Molina Healthcare of Washington, has donated $25,000 to The Rural Collaborative in support of the organization’s Quality Initiative, according to information from Molina.
“Molina is proud to support access to quality care and The Rural Collaborative,” said Dr. Jay Fathi, plan president of Molina Healthcare of Washington, in a press release. “This initiative will lead to stronger health systems that can benefit residents in rural communities and support improved health equity.”
The Rural Collaborative has 21 members – public hospital districts and critical access hospitals – across rural Washington state. The Quality Initiative will enable members to track overall results and better identify opportunities for collaboration and improvement.
“We are extremely grateful to MolinaCares,” said Dr. Elya Prystowsky, executive director of The Rural Collaborative, in the press release. “This grant will make a significant impact in providing access to quality care for those in rural communities.”
The MolinaCares Accord says it oversees a community investment platform created by Molina Healthcare Inc. to improve the health and well-being of disadvantaged populations by funding meaningful, measurable, and innovative programs and solutions that improve health, life, and living in local communities. The MolinaCares Accord funds such measures through The Molina Healthcare Charitable Foundation, a 501(c)(3) established in 2020 by Molina Healthcare Inc.
