Agencies plan resource fair online
WorkSource Central Basin, in collaboration with the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services, Opportunities Industrial Center of Washington and SkillSource, will host an online community resource event on Thursday, Sept. 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to highlight community resources in Grant and Adams counties.
The virtual resource fair will provide opportunities to learn about available resources and connect with local agencies on what assistance programs are available, according to a press release. The virtual event will allow individuals to log in at any time during the four-hour window and virtually visit as many different booths as they desire. Attendance is free.
There will be a wide variety of agencies represented, ranging from emergency services, retraining opportunities, re-employment strategies, education exploration, after-school activities and more.
