December 9, 1929 – October 20, 2021

Lola Mae Darley Yearout, 91, of Springfield, Oregon, graduated from this life on Oct. 20, 2021. Lola had been battling dementia and other age-related challenges when she passed away in a care facility in Junction City, Oregon.

Born Dec. 9, 1929, in Rupert, Idaho, to Mary Grace Anderson Darley and George Eckersall Darley, Lola grew up in rural Idaho with her five siblings. She spent most of her adult years in Moses Lake, Washington and Springfield, Oregon. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in numerous positions and callings over the years.

Her hobbies included playing piano/organ, gardening and sewing. She loved going to “lunch bunch” with a group of lady friends from church. She enjoyed singing in the choir. She loved to laugh and have fun, especially with family and friends.

On Dec. 13 1980, she married her sweetheart Michael Peter Yearout in Moses Lake, Washington and they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Portland, Oregon, temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Words cannot fully express what a blessing Mike was in her life.

Lola is survived by her dear husband Michael Peter Yearout; children Ronald Sparks (Terry), Sharon Sparks McConkie McLaughlin (Tony), Debra Sparks Curtis, Cindy Sparks Schmidt (Wade), and Tina Sparks Schneider (George); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first two beloved children, David Lee Sparks and Vickie Marie Sparks; her siblings Carl Darley, Lloyd Darley, Marie Darley Garner, Keith Darley and Grant Darley and by Sharon’s first husband Paul Thomas McConkie. She is also survived by Mike’s children Craig Yearout, Steve Yearout and Paul Yearout, and preceded by Kurt Yearout.
