Frederick Gene Edwards

| October 28, 2021 1:00 AM

June 30, 1939 – October 24, 2021

On Oct. 24, 2021, our dad, Frederick Gene Edwards, was brought home to be with his Heavenly Father and reunited with his beloved wife Carolyn, our mother.

He was the best big brother/friend a sister could have, wonderful loving father to us, a kind and funny grandpa to his grandchildren, and always at the ready to help anyone in need with an ear to listen, help with a project, snow plowing a driveway or mowing a lawn for his neighbor, even providing cold water to the local sanitation workers on a hot day.

He was born in San Diego, California, June 30, 1939, to Lois and Fred Edwards and resided in San Diego County for many years with his family until 2002, when he and our mom, Carolyn, moved to Moses Lake.

He will be remembered by all of us as someone who demonstrated love, strength and the wisdom of a father and grandfather, faith and love of Christ, love and care of your spouse, someone who always put his family first, and so much more.

He is survived by his three children Kim (Peter) Padilla, Kelly (Bob) Johnston and Frederick “Fred/Rick” (Kristen) Edwards; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and his sister Sharon (Jerry) Tate.

He is further survived by several nieces and nephews and other relatives.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to a veteran’s organization of choice.

Please express your thoughts and memories at www.kayserschapel.com. Arrangements are under the care of Kayser’s Chapel of Memories of Moses Lake, Washington.
