Prep roundup: Knights shut out Leopards, 42-0

ZILLAH — The Royal High School Knights needed only half a game to defeat the Zillah Leopards Friday. Luke Bergeson set the stage in the first quarter, scoring a touchdown on a 69-yard pass from Derek Bergeson. Another touchdown in the first quarter and four more in the second settled the game at halftime, as neither side scored in the second half. Derek Bergeson led the team in passing yards at 235, while Avery Ellis led in rushing with 50 yards.

Ephrata 0, Selah 6

The Ephrata Tigers were shut out Friday in a game with a decided lack of scoring. Selah managed one touchdown on a 17-yard run in the second quarter, but stalled at 6 points as the kick was no good. The game leaves Ephrata at 4-3 for the season.
