Glenn Myhre
Our beloved husband, father and grandfather went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 29.
Glenn Myhre was born in Tacoma, Washington, to Carl and Jeanette Myhre in 1924. After high school, Glenn joined the Navy. He served through World War ll from 1943 to 1946 and the Korean War from 1950 to 1952 and was stationed in San Diego, where he met his wife, Kathleen Parrish, the love of his life. They eventually moved back to Tacoma where Glenn worked at Weyerhaeuser in the paint shop. They had two sons, Larry and Chuck.
Among his many hobbies, Glenn loved fishing, camping, traveling, rock hounding, golfing, playing cards, being a Husky superfan, helping others and studying God’s word. Glenn and his wife Kathleen were longtime members at the First Presbyterian Church. He was actively involved in the life of the church. In later years, Glenn moved to Moses Lake to be near his son, Chuck Myhre, and daughter-in-law, Tami Myhre. He resided at the Monroe House where he loved to play cards with the other residents. Glenn joined the Moses Lake Presbyterian Church.
A celebration of his life will be held on Oct. 22 at 1:30 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church, 1142 W. Ivy Ave. in lieu of flower donations, please donate to the Presbyterian youth group.
