Auditions Sunday for Masquers’ Christmas play

SOAP LAKE — Masquers Theater is looking for a few good players.

Auditions for “Sleeping Indoors,” the troupe’s Christmas production, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the theater, 322 Main Ave. E. in Soap Lake. The play calls for four adults, two men and two women. Performances will be held the first two weekends in December.

In the play, Nora, a middle-aged housewife suffering from empty nest syndrome, invites a homeless man, Dwain, to her home for Christmas dinner. When her unsuspecting husband, Paul, gets home from work, he is shocked to discover she took him seriously and brought home a person instead of another stray cat. Nora’s younger sister, Nichole, however, is delighted to have another house guest to join in the festivities.
