Othello Fall Clean Up in November

OTHELLO — Othello residents can dispose of leaves, branches trimmed from shrubs and trees and other yard waste during the 14th annual Fall Clean Up Day, 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Nov. 6.

The disposal location, temporarily set up for the day, is 1016 S. Broadway Ave.

The event is for yard vegetation only, according to a city press release. Materials accepted include grass clippings, small tree limbs and shrub branches. Limbs must be a maximum of 6 inches in diameter and 4 feet long. Only loads transported by a pickup or a small utility truck will be accepted.

Materials not accepted include dirt and cement, gravel and sod, household appliances, steel and other metal materials, wires, household garbage or household hazardous chemicals, among other materials. City employees at the site can reject materials.
