CITY OF OTHELLO NOTICE TO CONSULTANTS FOR TRANSPORTATION PLANNING SERVICES The City of Othello solicits interest from consulting firms with expertise in the planning and design of bikeway and pedestrian path/facilities. This agreement will include preparing an Active Transportation Plan for the City of Othello. Consultants will be considered for the following project. The City of Othello reserves the right to amend terms of this "Request for Statement of Qualifications" (RSQ) to circulate various addenda, or to withdraw the RSQ at any time, regardless of how much time and effort consultants have spent on their responses. Project Description The work to be performed by the CONSULTANT consists of preparing an Active Transportation Plan. Work will include producing a plan to promote alternative modes of transportation (walking, bicycling, etc.) to improve the quality of life, mobility, safety, and health of the residents in the Othello area. Interested parties may contact the City for a copy of the Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) grant application that was submitted to QuadCo. This project has a 0.0% assigned UDBE agreement goal. The City of Othello reserves the right to retain the services of the successful firm(s) for any subsequent phases (R/W, CN) associated with this project. Evaluation Criteria Submittals will be evaluated and ranked based on the following criteria: 1) Past experience with preparing transportation plans focused on alternative modes (50%) 2) References and past work in the Eastern Washington area (20%) 3) Qualifications of key personnel (20%) 4) Proximity of office and staff to Othello(10%) Submittal Submittals should include the following information: firm name, phone number and email address; name of principal-in-charge and project manager; and the number of employees in each firm proposes to use on the project.
