June 27,1931 – November 4, 2021

Betty Lee Walker, 90, passed away peacefully in the presence of her family on Nov. 4, 2021. Betty was born on June 27, 1931, in Helena, Montana.

Betty was raised in Radersburg, Montana, and moved to Moses Lake with her family in 1942 and graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1949. She went to work at the local post office where she met and fell in love with her future husband, Leo. They were married in 1953 and both retired after 30-plus years with the postal service.

Betty was an avid owl collector and was known for her large collection of owls located throughout every room in her home. The grandchildren often enjoyed going room to room trying to see who could count the most owls. Betty and Leo loved camping with family and friends and spent many a summer at the Ohanapecosh Campground at Mount Rainier National Park where many cherished memories were made.

She is survived by her son Kevin Walker of Moses Lake and her daughter Janet (Bill) Baker of Moses Lake; five grandchildren Amy, Jonathan, Courtney, Haley and Zachary; eight great-grandchildren Makaylyn, Ayden, Damian, Sean, Bryson, Ryder, River and Oakley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Leo, her parents Charles (Charlie) and Hazel Hough, her son Kirk Allen Walker and her twin sister Betty (McCracken) Fischer.

A memorial service for family and friends will be held at a later date.
