Lynn Scott Miller
December 28, 1958 – November 4, 2021
Lynn Scott Miller, a longtime Moses Lake resident, passed away peacefully in his home on Nov. 4 due to health issues. Lynn was born and raised in Moses Lake in 1958 to his parents Herbert E. Miller and Viola K. Benz.
He had one brother, Lonnie G. Miller. Growing up, Lynn played Little League with his parents being big supporters. He spent a lot of time at McCosh Park, swimming, playing tennis and at one of his favorites, The Taco Shop.
Lynn met Reva Newman in his senior year (1977), starting their lives together after graduation. They were married in Kauai in 1985, separating in 2016. He purchased a 1976 Chevy van in 1983, better known as the Scooby-Doo van or the party on wheels. Lynn and Reva traveled the Pacific Northwest with their sheep dog, going on many camping trips and adventures.
Lynn took a position at Prairie Market in 1977, working there 10 years. He relocated to Super 1 Foods in 1988 for three years. After leaving the grocery business he had the opportunity with Ray’s Lock Service to become a locksmith and purchase Ray’s business. Lynn opened Safe & Sound Lock & Alarm in 1991, furthering his education in security. The business closed in 2019.
Lynn’s interests and hobbies were kiting, attending kite festivals and concerts (John Fogerty was his favorite), golfing, tennis and his aquarium. He was a fanatic on detailing his cars. He loved his sheep dogs and Ruby his Boston terrier. He always looked forward to the beautiful sunsets while living on the lake.
Lynn had his struggles, but he was one of the most soft-spoken, easy-going, nicest guys you could ever meet.
“Jesus said come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” Mathew 11:28
Let your soul rest.
(Love you, Bun)
He is survived by his brother Lonnie G. Miller, his nephew Justin E. Miller, nieces Cortney, Chelsea, Cami, Tami Lynn Miller, Michelle Jones, great-nephews Brandon and Preston.
