Stratford Road crossing to close for light hanging

The Stratford Road area crossing Moses Lake will be closed from 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday to prepare for Light Up Moses Lake events, according to a city of Moses Lake news flash.

Moses Lake Fire Department, Moses Lake Street Division and Moses Lake Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services Department will place lights to coincide with the event, which runs 5-7 p.m. Dec. 4 and beyond.

The fire truck and boom truck allow crews to decorate both sides of the crossing at once and the fire truck can extend across the lanes.

Drivers can take Broadway Avenue and state Route 17 or Grape Drive and state Route 17 to reach their destinations.

There only will be local access north from Knolls Vista Drive to the Walmart entrance, as well as from Valley and Stratford roads intersection to Central Drive.
