Quincy High School gets honors for fall sports season

The Caribou Trail League released its All-League teams and honors for the fall sports season. Quincy High School had more than a dozen students, between the four fall sports it offers, receive an All-League Team placement or honorable mention.

Quincy received the overall team sportsmanship award for cross-country and football.

For cross-country, senior Ecduy Gordillo and sophomore Levi Kukes earned Boys Second Team.

Juniors Marisol Uribe and Marissa Tafoya received Girls Second Team, along with sophomore Bridget Jones. Junior Luz Aragon and freshman Brenda Uribe received honorable mentions.

In volleyball, sophomore Shea Heikes got Second Team.

For girls soccer, senior Emily Wurl and junior Joceline Schaapman earned First Team.

Senior Sheridan Donovan was the only athlete to make Second Team and senior Lilian Pena received an honorable mention.

Five football players were awarded. Seniors Gavin Longwill and Sergio Cordova received honorable mentions in the running back category. Junior David Medina made Second Team for the offensive line and First Team for the defensive line. In the linebacker category, senior Sergio Cordova made First Team and junior Kenny made Second Team. Senior Luis Serrano received an honorable mention in the defensive back category.
