Candidate for U.S. Senate to visit Moses Lake

MOSES LAKE — Tiffany Smiley will be at the November meeting of the Republican Women of Grant County.

Smiley is a veterans advocate from the Tri-Cities area, a Republican, who is running for the U.S. Senate.

According to her website, www.smileyforwashington.com, Smiley’s campaign has raised more than $1.6 million since April, when she announced her run to replace Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash.

Smiley’s support has been fueled by more than 10,000 small donations, and she has been endorsed by the Washington state Republican Party, Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers, R-Wash., Smiley’s campaign stated in a press release. She has held campaign events in every county in Washington.

The meeting will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Lake City Foursquare Church, 333 N. Central Drive, in Moses Lake. The public is welcome.
