MATTAWA β€” Grant Integrated Services, which provides behavioral health treatment for Grant County residents, will open a larger office in Mattawa and expand its available services. An opening date will be announced, but GIS director Dell Anderson said it would be sometime between mid-July and early August.

The expanded office will be located at 221 Government Road in a brand-new building. There will be four offices in the new facility and a waiting room, Anderson said, and it’s more accessible than the current location.

Currently, the GIS office is located in space leased from the Mattawa Community Medical Clinic at 210 Government Road, but the space is limited and only has room for one therapist, he said.

The new facility will allow the addition of treatment for substance abuse, Anderson said, which was not offered in Mattawa previously. The goal is to provide services in English and Spanish. GIS currently offers therapy for patients and mental health crisis services in Mattawa.

Anderson said the space still needs to be outfitted, with the process expected to take about six weeks.
