Jorena Ann Smith (Hazzard)

June 21, 1963 – April 3, 2021

Jorena Ann Smith passed away unexpectedly in the early morning of Saturday, April 3, 2021, at the age of 57.

Jorena was born in Ephrata, Washington, on June 21, 1963, to Donald Hazzard and Irene (Lilly) Scott.

She lived in many places over the years but was fortunate to call Republic her home for the last 18. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, drawing and playing dice with her good friend Vickie, but most of all she loved cooking. Jorena had an infectious smile, and though ornery at times, had a huge heart. She was always willing to help those who needed it. Jorena was tough. She battled and beat breast cancer and was currently battling stage 4 bone cancer. She was a strong, independent woman who never gave up and always stood up for what she believed in.

Jorena is survived by her mother and stepfather, Irene (Lilly) and Marvin.
