Position added to Othello School Board; director map changes

OTHELLO — The Othello School Board has been reconfigured from one at-large position to two.

An at-large seat means that anyone living within the school district boundaries can run for the seat.

Three school board positions are up for election in 2021, and one of them, Position 4, will switch to an at-large position. Currently, that seat is held by Lindsy Prows.

The reconfiguration means three school board members must live within the district they represent, while the other two can live anywhere in the school district.

The two other seats up for election are in director districts, but the boundaries have changed. An updated map can be found on the Othello School District website.

The incumbents in the director district positions are Ken Johnson and Jenn Stevenson.
