Othello School District accepting sealed bids for property

OTHELLO — Othello School District officials will accept sealed bids for property for sale at the intersection of Lee and Seventh streets.

Bids must be delivered by 5 p.m. April 23 to the district office, 1025 S. First Ave.

The property will be appraised, and, according to state law, it must be sold at 90% of the appraised value. The 81.14 acres were purchased for $2.43 million in 2016.

District voters rejected a construction bond in 2017 that would have built an elementary school and middle school on the site.
