Sara Lingg

January 15, 1972 – February 14, 2021

On Sunday, Feb. 14, 2021, Valentine's Day, Sara Lingg, mother of two children, Zessica Gasper-Lingg and Zack (Lingg) McCoy, passed away. She turned 49 years old recently.

Sara was born on Jan.15, 1972, in Anchorage, Alaska, to Jerry Michael “Mike” Lingg and Carol Ethelane (Johnson) Lingg. She went to Gallaudet University for one year of her general study. She fell in love with Chris Gasper and had two beautiful children.

Sara loved to compete with her friends. She was a member of Big Bend Manta Rays Swim Team for a couple of years. She also loved playing for Moses Lake Chiefs softball and basketball teams before transferring to Washington School for the Deaf in Vancouver, Washington, until she graduated in 1990.

Her favorite hobbies and activities were reading comic books, collecting cute pig figurines and pictures, cross-stitching, crafts, hiking, camping, socializing with deaf communities and going out on the town.

Sara was preceded in death by her father Mike and her mother Carol. She is survived by her two children Zessica and Zack; her half-sister Euna (Lingg) Dennis and brother Eldon and his wife Hayley Lingg; uncles Dennis and Jeff Lingg, Dave and Don Johnson and Mike Kosanovich.; aunts Dede Warren, Faye and Leilani Johnson and Marilyn Kosanovich; cousins Holly Lingg Holt and Karie Lingg, Jeremy, Timothy, Tawnya and Trisha Johnson, and Justin Kosanovich and Tovah Bailey, nieces Amber Pomtree, Jade, Belle, Ruth and Seth Lingg and Isabella Lingg; nephews Charles (CJ) Dennis Jr. and Devin Lingg (girlfriend Martha Lopez-Vargas); grand-nieces/-nephews Skylir (Dennis) Spann, Addison Pomtree and Annabella, Addicus and Archer Dennis.

A memorial service was held on Friday, Feb. 26, 2021, at 6 p.m. in Portland, Oregon, followed by a funeral service on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021, at 2 p.m. in Kennewick.
