Othello pool opens for summer

OTHELLO — Last year, the Othello Community Pool couldn’t open, but the pool opened for summer 2021 on June 25.

The pool is open from noon to 7 p.m. every day for its open swim session. Lap swims are scheduled from 6-7 a.m. and 11 a.m. to noon every weekday.

Swimming lessons are scheduled from 8-11 a.m. weekdays. City parks and recreation manager Madison Martinez said a weekly family swim night is planned, but the day of week will change. The schedule for the family swims will be available each week at the pool.

Daily admission is $6.75 for children 6-17 and seniors 65 and older. Adults pay $7.75 per day. Individual season passes are $90, and a family pass is $213.75.

Swimming lessons are $39.25, and pool rental is $191.25 per hour, with a two-hour minimum.

The Othello Swim Team will not be competing in 2021, Martinez said.
