Othello man arrested after heroin allegedly found in car, house

MOSES LAKE — An Othello man was booked into Grant County Jail on possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver Friday after a search of his car and home allegedly resulted in the discovery of more than 2 pounds of heroin.

Jose Torres-Moreno, 19, was detained during a traffic stop, according to Moses Lake Police Department. Police officers obtained a search warrant for his car and a home in the 1900 block of Hampton Road, south of Othello. Officers allegedly found about 2.7 pounds of heroin and about $7,000 in cash, MLPD stated.

Moses Lake police worked with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office in the investigation.
