Four people were injured Saturday afternoon when the van they were in struck a trailer and rolled on state Route 17, near Warden.

Dominga Perez Pineda, 37, of Othello, was driving south on state Route 17 around 1:12 p.m. in a 1997 Honda Odyssey when the van crossed the center line and struck a trailer, rolled and came to rest on its wheels in the northbound ditch.

The trailer was attached to a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Efrain Lopez Corona, 35 of Othello, according to the Washington State Patrol. The truck came to rest in the northbound ditch.

Perez Pineda was flown to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland for her injuries, while her three passengers, Jessica Camacho, 19, Yuremin Camacho Perez, 18 and Mirian Perez, 15, all of Othello, were taken to Samaritan Hospital.

Lopez Corona and his passenger, Efrain Lopez, 63, of Othello, were not injured. All except Camacho and Camacho Perez wore seat belts.

Perez Pineda may face a citation and/or charges. Her van was totaled.
