MOSES LAKE — A Vacation Bible School and evening services will be offered for two weeks, beginning June 28, by a traveling minister at the Grant County Fairgrounds, 3953 Airway Dr. NE.

Tom Hoy, director of Good News Outreach Northwest, said the VBS will be offered from 10 a.m. to noon June 27 through July 2 and July 5 through 8. It’s open to children from 5 through teens. Activities include Biblical lessons, crafts and activities.

The evening service is at 7:30 p.m. each night from June 28 through July 8, Hoy said. All events are free and the organizers don’t take a collection.

The group pitches a tent at the south end of the fairgrounds by the Blue Gate, he said. They’ve been coming to Moses Lake every summer since 2009.

“This is year number 12 for us,” Hoy said. “Except for last year, we’ve been here (in Moses Lake) every year.”

Hoy said services are non-denominational.

“Simply teaching the good news,” he said.
