MOSES LAKE — Freedom Fest, an Independence Day celebration in Moses Lake, will be returning for 2021.

Sean Sallis, head of the organizing committee, said country singer Craig Morgan will perform in concert at 7 p.m. July 3 at McCosh Park, 401 W. Fourth Ave. The fireworks show is scheduled for about 10 p.m. July 4.

“This is great,” Sallis said.

An outdoor movie is scheduled for July 2, and McCosh Park will have food vendors during the weekend, Sallis said.

The Moses Lake Farmers Market will be open July 3. There will not be a carnival.

More events will be announced as they are confirmed, Sallis said.

The Moses Lake City Council voted in November 2020 to budget $50,000 to fund Freedom Fest. The festival began in 2017 and was canceled in 2020, except for fireworks, due to coronavirus pandemic concerns.
