David S. Slezak, 61, of Desert Aire, Washington, passed away July 17 at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, 35 days after suffering severe injuries in a golf cart rollover accident.

Dave was the CEO of Merritt Software, which created custom software programs for community medical clinics. He enjoyed his family, his friends, golf, Desert Aire sunsets, Mexican food and the music of the Rolling Stones, Blues Brothers, Janis Joplin and other rock ā€™nā€™ rollers of the 1960s and ā€™70s. He and Stephanie attended countless Stones concerts, including the 2002-03 Licks World Tour, a true bucket-list accomplishment.

A celebration of life open house for his Desert Aire friends will take place Aug. 8. Donations in his memory can be made to the Mattawa Area Food Bank, http://mattawaareafoodbank.org.
