In a story published July 21, 2021, about the history and effects of the war on drugs, The Associated Press erroneously reported that the brother of Brett Roman Williams, a Philadelphia-based independent filmmaker and anti-gun violence advocate, was killed a month after he left prison. The murder occurred less than three weeks after he was freed.
