MATTAWA — A new and larger clinic operated by Grant Integrated Services, offering expanded mental health treatment options, has opened in Mattawa at 221 Government Road.

The office, about 1,200 square feet, is in a new building and Grant County Central Services Director Tom Gaines said the space was designed for the mental health clinic.

The clinic is open from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Grant Integrated Services Director Dell Anderson said the clinic is licensed for outpatient mental health, substance treatment and crisis treatment.

The new facility has offices for four therapists, as opposed to the previous location, which only had room for one office. It’s more accessible than the previous location and has a waiting room, which the previous clinic did not have at 500 square feet.

The new facility allows for expansion of services, including the addition of substance abuse treatment, which wasn’t available in Mattawa previously.

The goal is to provide services in English and Spanish, Anderson said in an earlier interview.
