The Bureau of Reclamation, in accordance with 43 CFR 423 Subpart B, is providing public notice that Scooteney Campground is now open for overnight use until August 1, 2021. The campground, main boat launch parking lot, and main boat launch will be closed for construction starting on August 2, 2021 through the end of the season. The southern boat launch on Scooteney Reservoir will remain open for public use during this time. Intermittent closures will be implemented at Scooteney Day Use Area from August 2, 2021 through October 14, 2021. Full campground and park access will resume in April of 2022 but is subject to the completion of construction. NOTICE OF OPPORTUNITY LIMITED ACCESS PUBLIC HEARING SR 17-Franklin County Line to Jct. P.S.H. No. 18 The Washington State Department of Transportation is planning intersection improvements at the non-signalized intersection of State Route 17 and Cunningham Road. The proposed project will construct a single lane roundabout at the intersection, located on SR 17 at milepost 29.38, as well as purchasing access control along Cunningham Road. The intersection is located approximately 21 miles south of Moses Lake within Adams County. The NE and SW quadrants of the intersection are also located within the Othello City Limits. The primary purpose for this project is to increase the safety and mobility of traffic in the area. Revisions to the current access control limits are planned for this project. Should any interested persons, whose property will incur changes in access control as a result of this project, want to discuss and exchange information concerning the proposed improvements and revisions to the access control, they may contact the Project Engineer, James Reynolds, by calling (509) 667-2861 or (509) 881-1131.
