Jerry Mack Bunn

October 16, 1938 – June 23, 2021

Jerry Mack Bunn, 82, of Moses Lake, Washington, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, June 23, 2021. He was born to Charles and Reba Bunn in Ridgely, Tennessee, on Oct. 16, 1938. His family moved from Tennessee to Michigan when he was a young boy.

Jerry served in the United States Army from 1955 until 1958 as a scout dog handler. He met his wife Tracy in March of 1962 and they were married three months later on June 1, 1962. They have three children: Mike, Anne and Matt.

In 1974, the family moved from Hartford, Michigan to Gig Harbor, Washington, where Jerry worked at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and then transferred to Trident Submarine Base Bangor, where he retired from in 1999. In 2005, Jerry and Tracy moved to Moses Lake and they had just celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary.

Jerry was an avid outdoorsman and dog enthusiast, He was a wonderful husband and father.

He is survived by his sister Peggy Winans; brother Jimmy Bunn; wife Tracy and their three children: son Mike Bunn, his wife Jenny and grandchildren Aidan, 19, and Madison, 19; daughter Anne Bunn; and son Matt Bunn, his wife Heather and grandchildren Abigail, 24, and Connor, 21.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 8, at 2 p.m. in Gig Harbor at Rosedale Reformed Bible Church, 8620 Rosedale St. NW, with reception to follow.
