Melvin Lee Neal

Melvin Lee Neal was born Nov. 29, 1937 in Mason City (now called Coulee Dam), Washington, to Everett and Elouise Neal.

Mel grew up in Grand Coulee as an only child. Mel graduated from Coulee High School in 1956. Later he lived in Kirkland, moving to Moses Lake after he retired from M&K Upholstery and Quilt Shop in Grand Coulee.

Mel was an avid gardener, quilter and crafter. He was an active member of Moses Lake Baptist Church.

Mel is survived by his wife Maxine (Cassal) Neal of Moses Lake and his former wife Kaye (Elkes) Neal, also of Moses Lake. He is also survived by his daughters Melanie Neal and Jody, and his son Martin. He is also survived by cousins Bernard Neal, Jim Brown, Dick Brown and many other friends and relatives.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at the Moses Lake Baptist Church, 4334 Joann Drive NE, at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 7, 2021.
