ROYAL CITY — Royal City Police Department officers are asking the public to help identify two people who attempted to break into a Royal City business earlier this month.

Interim RCPD Chief Rey Rodriguez said the thieves apparently obscured the license plate on the car they drove.

“And everybody is wearing masks now,” he said.

One of the suspects is a man wearing a red Adidas hoodie, Rodriguez said, and the other is presumed to be a woman due to the coat the suspect was wearing. The car also has some distinguishing characteristics, he said.

The suspects picked up some items left at the business and attempted to break open a roll-up door, Rodriguez said.

People who have information about the case can contact the Royal City Police Department at 509-346-2212. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
