NATIONAL SUMMARY

Showers will exit the southern Atlantic Seaboard early

tomorrow as a storm sweeps offshore. Most of the South can

expect a dry and milder day. Farther north, a few flurries

and snow showers will fly across portions of the eastern

Great Lakes and northwestern New England, but most of the

Northeast will be dry with seasonable temperatures and some

sunshine. A mild afternoon with sunshine is expected across

the North Central states following patches of freezing fog

and slippery spots in the morning. The Pacific Northwest

will remain in a stormy pattern with another round of heavy

rain and high winds slamming into the coasts of Washington,

Oregon and Northern California. Snow and rain are forecast

to spread inland to Idaho and northwestern Montana, while

the balance of the West remains dry.
