The Nation's Weather for Saturday, January 9, 2021

_____

NATIONAL SUMMARY

Snow will expand across the central and southern Rockies

tomorrow. The snow will then blossom over eastern New Mexico

and the Texas Panhandle during the overnight hours. Farther

south, a few rain showers may dampen far southwestern Texas.

Elsewhere, a dry day is expected, including the Northwest,

which will have a brief break from the recent string of

storms. However, the next system will come ashore at night.

Although much of the nation is forecast to be free of

precipitation, a mostly cloudy day is in store for the

central Plains and western Great Lakes. Conversely, plenty

of sunshine will be found in the Southwest, particularly in

Southern California and Arizona. Much of Georgia and the

Carolinas will also have a mostly sunny day.
