NATIONAL SUMMARY
A storm moving offshore into the Atlantic will bring rain to
the coast of the Carolinas and snow to the mountains of
North Carolina and southwestern Virginia tomorrow.
Meanwhile, another storm is forecast to deliver rain and
wind to the lower elevations of western Washington and
western Oregon. Snow will fall in the Cascades and spread
eastward into western and central Idaho during the afternoon
hours. Other than a spotty flurry in eastern Montana, the
western Dakotas and northern Maine, the rest of the nation
can expect a dry day. Despite the lack of precipitation,
much of the northern and central Plains and Ohio Valley will
have a cloudy day. Morning clouds in Southern California are
expected to move eastward, leading to a mostly sunny
afternoon.
